Bill Pier is the UKMicroX & BRCA Micro graphics and web designer as well as Public Relations Officer.

Bill came back to RC after a 10 year break. He started with 10th scale nitro monster trucks, which although was great fun was also extremely time consuming and due to family comitments Bill looked for an easier life in the RC scene.

Back in 2006 Bill bought a second hand FTX Blaze and contacted Cris Oxley through the UK-MicroRC forum and took a trip to Goucester where he had an extremely exciting nights racing.

After a few quid spent here and there and a few tips and tricks from fello racers and forum goers, the Blaze was ready for the big Challenge, the UK Micro Challenge to be precise.
As you are all aware the second challenge was a huge success and Bill wanted to help the sport move forward in any way he could.

By day Bill is an Architect and he uses numerous computer software pachages day in day out, which he found could be used to help Cris and the team promote the sport. The first task was to design a new forum logo, which went down a storm, followed quickly by the UKMC3 logo and shortly after the 1st RC promotional CGI video (see below.

Since then Bill has worked with Cris in obtaining BRCA affiliation for the Micro Scale and was appointed as Public Relations Officer. Bill has gone onto rebrand the UK Micro Challenge with the New UKMicroX logo and has even built this very website.

Bill is a dedicated and hard working member of the team and looks forward to the BRCA Micro Nats and the forthcoming UKMicroX 1 in March 2008
